Azadeh Jafari
Principal Investigator
Azadeh Jafari is a Principal Investigator at WIMTACH and Professor at Centennial College. She holds a Ph.D. in Applied Physics and a postdoc in Materials Science and Engineering. She is also an Oracle certified Associate (OCA). She specializes in thin-film deposition, semiconductor device processing, and advanced material characterization, with experience in cleanroom microfabrication, process optimization, and MEMS applications. Her R&D work focuses on developing innovative process technologies, optimizing material properties, and bridging the gap between research and industrial applications.
As a Principal Investigator at WIMTACH she oversees the successful development of applied research projects, develops research objectives, methodology, and study design. She also provides technical guidance and mentorship, prepares progress reports, publications, and presentations and collaborates with external partners, sponsors, or stakeholders. In her free time, she enjoys exploring emerging microfabrication technologies, working on innovative R&D projects, and collaborating on interdisciplinary research, hiking and photography.
