Dr. Sathiyamoorthy Selladurai

Research & Development Lead – Electronics

Dr. Sathiyamoorthy Selladurai is the Research & Development Lead-Electronics at WIMTACH, Centennial College. He is an electronics and biomedical engineering researcher with over a decade of experience in electronics, instrumentation, signal and image processing, computer vision, automation, biomedical ultrasound, and elastography. He holds a PhD specializing in Biomedical Ultrasound, a Master’s degree in Control and Instrumentation Engineering, and a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering. Prior to joining WIMTACH, Sathiyamoorthy held postdoctoral research positions at the CHUM Research Centre (CRCHUM), affiliated with Université de Montréal, and Carleton University in Ottawa. Earlier in his career, he worked as a Project Scientist at NHHID and as a Project Engineer at TIFAC-CORE in Machine Vision, contributing to interdisciplinary research and technology development. His research experience spans biomedical ultrasound, medical imaging, image-guided interventions, 3D ultrasound reconstruction, medical simulation, machine vision, embedded electronics, sensors and data acquisition, control systems, and medical device development. At WIMTACH, Sathiyamoorthy leads electronics R&D activities and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams on electronic and embedded systems, wearable and sensing technologies, system integration, calibration, prototyping, and the development of innovative solutions for healthcare and industry applications.
