Tenzin Jinpa
Research & Development Lead (AI & Software)
Tenzin Jinpa is the Research & Development Lead for Artificial Intelligence and Software Development at WIMTACH and an Adjunct Professor at Centennial College, with over 10 years of experience across industry, academia, applied research, and enterprise software development. He has a strong track record of leading AI research, managing large-scale multi-year funded projects, and delivering custom enterprise platforms from concept to production. At WIMTACH, he has managed and delivered applied AI and software initiatives supported through NSERC, IRAP, MITACS, and TAC programs, collaborating with more than 50 industry partners to transform research ideas into scalable, commercialization-ready solutions. Tenzin holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of British Columbia, where his research under Dr. Yong Gao focused on deep learning and code representation learning. His research has been published at the AAAI Conference on Artificial Intelligence, and he has presented internationally on deep learning, digitization, Tibetan language technologies, and computational linguistics. His areas of expertise include Applied AI, Deep Learning, Large Language Models, Natural Language Processing, AI for Software Engineering, intelligent decision-support systems, enterprise AI platforms, and production-ready software systems.
