Andy is a Student Researcher at WIMTACH and a student in the Game Programming program at Centennial College. At WIMTACH she assists the research team as a Front-end developer for a project collaboration with Winters Instrument. She is responsible for developing the UI of a web application as well as the integration between front and back-end code using REST APIs. She regularly attends stand-up meetings, sprint planning meetings, and client meetings to contribute ideas and viable solutions for the project. Her studies at Centennial College has enabled her to gain experience in game development as well as web and mobile application development. Her role at WIMTACH has been a crucial factor in her improved skills in using Angular, API integration, and the implementation of agile practices in a professional work environment. She is currently improving upon her communication skills, problem solving skills, time management skills and collaboration skills through her Student Researcher role. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and learning about new cultures and gastronomies. She particularly enjoys learning about the different perceptions people have around the world.
