Fu is enrolled in the Artificial Intelligence program at Centennial College. As a Student Researcher at WIMTACH, his responsibilities include participating in video detection workflows, from sample video preprocessing to training a deep neural network for emotion detection and classifying incoming video files and live streams. He also connects the workflow with AWS services, like S3 storage, Recognition, and RDB and carries out functional and integration testing, debugging, and cloud migration. His internship has enabled him to develop technical skills with the use of AWS services related to AI Video data preprocessing using OpenCV Deep Neural Network model development and the use of TensorFlow PostgreSQL database development. He has also developed business communication and time management skills. In his free time, he enjoys practicing Ashtanga Yoga.
